Hello all, Ingram Hansmann here. I am a 20 year old student, working full time on the side. My goal is to become a psychologist, but that is a ways off. My two favorite pastimes are writing, and sports, so writing about sports would be a dream come true for me. I can't say this will change my career course, but I hope to learn a lot about the world of journalism this semester. Looking forward to learning alongside all of you.

Ingram, I encourage you to pick story topics in this class that have to do with sports so that you can write about what you're passionate about. When you pick an ARCC staff member to interview, consider talking to a coach. Write a feature on a sports player. Attend a sports game for your event. We'll work to build on what you care about most :)
ReplyDeleteI think it’s awesome that you’re following two of the things you love, and putting your enthusiasm for sports and writing into a career. Did you play any high school sports, and have you had any past experience with this sort of journalism/writing?
ReplyDeleteI also love sports and enjoyed most of the English class that I took this past school year. I think I would really enjoy combining sports and writing, but I think I'm leaning more towards broadcasting the stories. Good luck with the class! :)
